Why do I have to be a Member to see some of the boards on the forum?
Our members are very important to us as is their poetry some of the boards are made to be viewed by members only to protect their work and their privacy such as introductions and personal information.This allows members to feel more secure when they post to Poetry Pallace.
How much does it cost to become a Member?
There is no cost to become a Member of the Poerty Pallace. It is completly free.
How can I become a Member?
To become a member of the forum click on register and fill in your details. Once you submit an email will be sent to you with your activation code for the forum. Follow the email instructions and you will have your own forum ID.
Once a member how do I post to the Forum?
To post a new topic to the forum go to the board on which you wish to post. Once the page loads click on the new thread tab. You will then be able to title and post your work.
How can I leave feedback for others?
To leave feedback for other members read what they have wrote at the bottom of their poem will be a quick reply box. Type in your comments here and hit post. Your feedback will be left for the member.
Can I edit posts once they have been made?
Yes you can edit your posts. Go to the post you would like to edit and click on the modify tab. Once loaded add your edits and then post your updated post.
When I make a post do I need to check any of the boxes under what I submit?
When you post you do not have to check any of the book mark,disable smilies,lock thread,sticky thread or announcement boxes. It is better if those are just left blank.
What exactly is Karma?
Karma is a way for members to earn recognition. The more Karma a member has the more active they are in the forum. I have recently started a system where for every 10 posts a member makes they earn 1 Karma. The Karma will be updated once a month.
How can I enter the Poem of the Week Contest?
To be entered into the Poem of the Week Contest you need to submit at least one poem in the Orignal catagory.
If I enter the Poem of the Week Contest can I still participate in the Subject to Ponder?
Yes, you can do both the Poem of the Week and Subject to Ponder at the same time. There will be a winner picked from each catagory to post to the Contest.
How do I get my Poetry Folio?
Each member who joins us at the Poetry Pallace will have the opportunity to get their very own Poetry Folio. If you would like to get yours started immediatly please email or PM Poet Lady Rose saying that you are wanting to post your poetry and your folio will be set up for you. Please make sure that your name is included in the email so that I can put the name of the author as the title and as the mod of your area. These folios are yours and you may fix them how each one of you sees fit as long as nothing offensive or degrading is in them. If you have poetry that you feel may offend anyone please contact Poet Lady Rose for instructions on how to handle the matter.
